For this assignment we were chose a book to re-illustrate and I chose a book called Mermaids that I grew up reading. I wanted to have a soft and textured look that was reflective of the story. Drawn on my iPad with Procreate and touched up with Adobe Photoshop. This worked as a folded cover and interior spread, so the Mermaids holding hands is the cover with the more detailed spread is the interior.
